Diesel fuel just hit a record high of $6.51 per reports. This sharp rise comes right after a series of attacks on Russian energy sites. President Trump publicly called for an end to the conflict on Monday. He stated that Russia has lost control of its own fuel supply due to the fighting.
According to the New York Post, the President posted on Truth Social about the crisis. He wrote that “Russia has unfortunately lost control of its Diesel Oil Industry due to its War with Ukraine”. This situation directly impacts your family budget and the cost of shipping goods.
The average price jumped from $6.23 last week to this new record. It surpassed the $6 mark earlier this month. The previous high was $5.82 back in June 2022. We are paying more because the global supply chain is broken.
The physical damage to Russian infrastructure is severe. The President noted that “A large number of their Diesel refineries have been blown up and are, at least temporarily, out of commission”. This destruction has forced Russia to ban exports. That ban started in July and lasts until the end of September.
Indeed, this Russian war against Ukraine and against common sense must be ended. From the first year of the full-scale invasion, its consequences have been far-reaching: the loss of many lives, the destruction of cities and villages, food security, energy challenges, the… https://t.co/bguBQDfSYq

Per the Washington Examiner, Russia usually exports more diesel than any other nation except the US. Now they cannot sell their product because their factories are damaged. This shortage drives prices up for everyone in the world. The market cannot stabilize while the fighting continues.
Russia has also launched strikes against Ukraine’s energy industry. Both sides are hurting their own power grids. The chaos spills over into our grocery stores and gas tanks. We cannot ignore the cost of this endless conflict.
President Trump highlighted the tragic loss of life in this war. He wrote that “The whole World suffers as 25,000 people, mostly soldiers, are being killed each month”. He added, “What a shame!” These are not just numbers; they are human lives lost in a pointless struggle.
This Tuesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is set to meet with The President. The United Nations General Assembly sidelines will host their discussion. Trump has repeatedly asked Ukraine to stop long-range drone attacks. These strikes on oil facilities make the energy market unstable.
I just spoke with President Trump @POTUS. An important conversation, and we got through a lot. We agreed to meet in New York, and this meeting could change a lot. There is diplomatic momentum.
I thanked the President for Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner’s visit to Kyiv. We went…

According to reports, the War with Ukraine, described as ridiculous and never ending, must be ended. This is the only way to bring prices down. We need a leader who focuses on American families first. The current path only leads to higher costs and more death.
