Just a few hours after Senator Bernie Sanders announced that he is dropping out of the campaign the Trump re-election campaign wasted no time and put an ad that struck right at the heart into any hopes Biden had of re-election.
The ad was a comparison about how Joe Biden isn’t the moderate he claims to be and how his positions mirrored Sanders. How both support free healthcare for illegal immigrants, how both want to cease using fossil fuels however, the ending is brutal but true. On Wednesday Senator Bernie Sanders announced that he is suspending his campaign to run for the Democratic nomination for president. His announcement came just one day after former Vice President Joe Biden said that Sanders would be involved in his cabinet should he win come November.
“I wish I could give you better news but I think you know the truth,” Sanders said. “I have concluded that this battle for the Democratic nomination will not be successful and so today I am announcing the suspension of my campaign.”
“While this campaign is coming to an end, our movement is not,” he added.
“Bernie Sanders is OUT! Thank you to Elizabeth Warren. If not for her, Bernie would have won almost every state on Super Tuesday!” the president tweeted. “This ended just like the Democrats & the DNC wanted, same as the Crooked Hillary fiasco. The Bernie people should come to the Republican Party, TRADE!”
