Dr. Scott Atlas, a medical adviser to President Trump, is calling on Michiganders to “rise up” after Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced another slew of coronavirus restrictions.
“The only way this stops is if people rise up,” Atlas tweeted Sunday after Whitmer’s office announced a three-week return to remote learning for high schools and college students, as well as a reimposed ban on dine-in service at restaurants.
“You get what you accept. #FreedomMatters #StepUp,” Atlas added.

During an appearance on CNN, Whitmer responded:
“We know that the White House likes to single us out here in Michigan, me out in particular. I’m not going to be bullied into not following reputable scientists and medical professionals. If everyone does their part, we will see a big benefit from it,” she said.

Whitmer’s decision to lock her state down again comes after Dr. Fauci told Americans to “do what you’re told” and that we’ll still need to wear a mask after the coronavirus vaccines.

Fauci also hit back at Dr. Atlas during an appearance on NBC.
“You know, I totally disagree with it, and I made no secret of that,” Fauci said. “I mean, I don’t want to say anything against Dr. Atlas as a person but I totally disagree with the stand he takes. I just do, period.”
The Left is about to learn that the #resistance movement works both ways and it appears Dr. Atlas is getting it started.
Whitmer has lost a series of court battles over the legality of her stay at home restrictions.
