Trump Minces No Words on Plea Deal – Watch

Former President Donald Trump has denied reports that he is considering a plea deal in his criminal case in New York. The former president was asked by a reporter at the Iowa State Fair about the order from Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is presiding over Special Counsel Jack Smith’s criminal case against Trump.

“We’ll have to take a look at the order,” Trump said. “The whole thing is a fake. It was put out by Biden. And they put it out because they can’t win an election the fair way.”

“It’s all called election interference,” he said. “Biden put it out because he can’t win the fair way. He’s way down in the polls.”

Later trump went golfing and was once again confronted on the tarmac, Trump answered a reporter who asked, “Is there any chance you take a plea deal in Georgia?”

“We did nothing wrong. We don’t ever take a plea deal,” Trump said. “We don’t take plea deals. It’s a wise guy question. You’re just a wise guy,” said Trump. “We don’t take plea deals because I did nothing wrong. It’s called election interference.”

Trump faces dozens of felonies in two federal cases, a case out of the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, and he could be indicted in the coming days in a case out of the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office over his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

Trump’s denial comes after reports that he is considering a plea deal that would allow him to avoid jail time. The reports have been met with mixed reactions, with some Republicans urging Trump to accept a plea deal and others calling on him to fight the charges.

In the meantime, Trump’s denial of the reports is a sign that he is not going to give up without a fight. He is still claiming to be innocent, and he is still confident that he will be exonerated.
