Trump and his team are zeroing in on the 2022 midterms, the former President is crafting his agenda around the secret sauce that gave the GOP a historic victory; the “Contract with America.”
Trump is also bringing in the heavy hitters to help him do it, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Mark Meadows, and Senator Lindsey Graham. The document hasn’t been completed but it is going to surround the same tenants of Trump “America First” policy.
The contract is meant to go beyond the massive rallies and endorsement given by Trump and at the same time hold politicians accountable.
“It should be positive,” Gingrich said. “School choice, teaching American history for real, abolishing the ‘1619 Project,’ eliminating critical race theory and what the Texas legislature is doing. We should say, ‘Bring it on.’”
“Policy talks are still in their infancy and it’s premature to project exactly what this will look like, who all will be participating in the effort and when something may be released,” said a Trump spokesperson.
For the GOP to succeed they will need to pick up at least five seats in the House and one in the Senate to takeover. A new Quinnipiac polls that highly favored Democrats over Republicans (D+11) shows that Democrats and Biden are close to underwater.
Keep in mind the polls oversampled Democrats by plus eleven.
I always say Quinnipiac polls are garbage and this poll is no different (it’s D+11)… but even despite it being so one sided, it has bad news for Democrats
