Vance Comments On Narrative Following MSG Rally

It seems the Democrats have officially run out of material. Now, they’re digging deep into the Madison Square Garden archives, pulling up images of a pro-N*zi rally from the 1930s to imply some kind of connection between former President Trump, his supporters, and the Third Reich. Apparently, holding a rally in a venue used for all kinds of events, including Democratic National Conventions, is somehow symbolic of neo-N*zism if Trump is on the stage.

Nebraska State Senator Megan Hunt jumped on the bandwagon, responding to a post comparing the Trump rally to that 1939 pro-N*zi event, saying, “They know! They love it!! It’s 100% on purpose.” She didn’t hesitate to double down, saying, “Yeah good point, we used to fight N*zis, not vote for them.” Apparently, drawing baseless parallels is just par for the course now.

This time, Senator JD Vance wasn’t having any of it. He called out this nonsense with a dose of reality, reminding folks of a little event called D-Day. You know, the one where American soldiers stormed the beaches at Normandy to liberate Europe from actual Nazis. Vance didn’t mince words: “Who do you actually think the gross majority of the men who stormed the beaches at Normandy would vote for? The answer is obvious: Donald J. Trump.”

And he’s got a point. The men who risked their lives for freedom weren’t exactly fighting for today’s progressive causes. They were fighting for their country, their families, and a world free of tyranny. Vance even threw in a photo of those brave soldiers, remarking that they didn’t give up their lives for open borders or taxpayer-funded surgeries for illegal immigrants. A stark contrast to the policies pushed by the modern left.

Senator Eric Schmitt chimed in, calling out the Democrats’ fearmongering tactics as intellectually bankrupt. It’s clear that smears and scare tactics are all they have left. When you don’t have real policy positions, you start leaning into scare tactics and name-calling. Schmitt nailed it when he said, “Scolding and attempting to shame people is not a good closing argument.”

If you’re on the left and you’re running out of fresh policy ideas, what’s the next best option? Fear and outrage, of course. Why bother with real plans to address the economy, border security, or national defense when you can just throw around terms like “N*zi” and hope it sticks? It’s a last-ditch attempt to rally the base, but the public can see through it.

As we gear up for the 2024 election, it’s going to be telling who offers real solutions and who’s just relying on the oldest trick in the book: fearmongering. But if Democrats are hanging their hat on N*zi comparisons, they might want to take a moment to look at who they’re actually trying to convince—because from here, it looks like that tactic has hit its expiration date.
