Former President Trump spoke at CPAC over the weekend and slammed the Biden administration for opening the border but wanting to keep Americans lockdown.
Just twenty four hours later the Biden administration is pumping the breaks on their immigration plan. During a press conference the White House announced that they do want illegal immigrants to come just not right now.
DHS Sec. Mayorkas said, “We are not saying don’t come, we’re saying don’t come now, because we will be able to deliver a safe and orderly process to them as quickly as possible”

Mayorkas was then asked if the Biden administration has caused a crisis at the border (a crisis we never had under President Trump). “I think the answer is no,” Mayorkas said when asked by a reporter if there was a crisis on the border. “I think there is a challenge at the border that we are managing, and we have our resources dedicated to managing it.”
In January 2021, Border Patrol agents apprehended 5,871 unaccompanied minors — up from 4,995 in December 2020.
During the press conference Mayorkas pandered to immigration activists asking them for more time.
The Biden administration is pumping the brakes because the last thing they need during the pandemic is a massive influx of immigrants however, they only have themselves to blame because during the campaign they were claiming they would open the border.
Democrat Congressman Vicente Gonzalez admitted Biden’s immigration policy is going to cause a crisis.
