Republicans were furious over Senator Ted Cruz’s comments about the events that took place on 1/6 in DC.
“We are approaching a solemn anniversary this week,” Cruz said. “And it is an anniversary of a violent terrorist attack on the Capitol, where we saw the men and women of law enforcement demonstrate incredible courage, incredible bravery, risk their lives to defend the men and women who served in this Capitol.”
“We are grateful for that courage, we appreciate the selfless sacrifice of the men and women who keep us safe,” he added.
As a U.S. Veteran who enlisted when I turned 18, after the 9/11 terrorist attacks on our nation, and having been in Washington D.C. on January 6th, I’m actually disgusted by this comparison by Ted Cruz. A “terrorist attack”? Really?

“Of all the things January 6 was, it was definitely not a violent terrorist attack. It wasn’t an insurrection,” Carlson said. “Was it a riot? Sure. It was not a violent terrorist attack. Sorry. So why are you telling us it was, Ted Cruz?”
“What the hell’s going on here? You’re making us think, maybe the Republican Party is as worthless as we suspected it was. That can’t be true. Reassure us, please, Ted Cruz,” Carlson added.

Newsmax contributor, Jenna Ellis dunked on Cruz by posting a video of DeSantis responding to the press about 1/6. DeSantis said that Floridians don’t care about 1/6 and that comparing 1/6 to the September 11th attacks is an “insult.” By the way, if you watch the DeSantis video below ask a military friend what “charlie foxtrot” means, they’ll explain it.
