ABC’s The View moderator Whoopi Goldberg struggled to remember which years former President Donald Trump ran for office, and yet, ironically, in an earlier episode, highlighted the “short memory issues” of Americans.
Discussing Trump’s recent comments on abortion, Goldberg stumbled over her words and had to ask her fellow co-hosts: “What does it–? Voted for him in 2016 and 2020? How did that—?” It took Joy Behar to remind Goldberg that Trump ran for office in both 2016 and 2020 and received votes in both elections.
This isn’t the first time Goldberg has displayed her liberal bias. In a previous episode, she claimed Americans have “short memory issues” when she asked why people aren’t acknowledging the supposed “good” things happening under President Biden’s administration.
“So why is it some people are having short memory issues? There are plenty of other reasons to feel good about where we actually are. Why isn’t that tracking?” she asked.
The liberal co-hosts were quick to bash Trump, with Sunny Hostin saying that Trump was responsible for mishandling the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to the deaths of over a million Americans, including her own family members.
“I think the Democrats need to do more in getting the message out that yes, we actually are better off right now because of all of the things that Biden has done, but I will say this, you know, while Trump may have, you know, came up with this Operation Warp Speed, which I don’t know why he came up with that term, I do believe that he is responsible for mishandling the pandemic so much that over a million Americans died including my in-laws, and it is in large part because he had his son-in-law who shouldn’t have been in the White House in the first place, handling the response. Someone with absolutely no medical history – experience,” she added.
But let’s not forget the real reason why Goldberg and her co-hosts are struggling to remember the years Trump ran for president. It’s because they want to erase him and the progress he made for the American people from history. It’s evident by their failure to even acknowledge Trump’s success.
Goldberg and her co-hosts are simply pushing the same Democratic narrative that Trump was a disaster and Biden is our savior. But let’s not forget what really happened during the Trump administration—a booming economy, record-low unemployment, and peace deals in the Middle East, to name a few.
