White House Communication Director Kate Bedingfield issued an ultimatium to social media companies. Bedingfield told MSNBC’s Mika Brezinski that if social media companies don’t censor conservatives on their list they will face accountability.
Social media companies “should be held accountable” for misinformation Bedingfield said.
“There are conservative news outlets who are creating irresponsible content,” she added.

The White House also told their propaganda partner, CNN that if social media platforms do not censor conservatives they will hold them accountable for publishing misinformation.
It’s an idle threat only Congress can amend the law however the White House knows there is support on both sides of the aisle to revoke Section 230.
Let’s take a step back, the government is publicly threatening a private company that if they don’t do their bidding they are going to go after them (if Trump was in office the press would be losing their minds). Not that we should feel bad for these social media companies they created this mess.
Recently the White House has turned up the heat and is publicly demanding conservative be censored.
