Well, well, well, folks. President Joe Biden took to CBS News on Sunday for what can only be described as a stroll through the park—complete with a series of misleading claims and not a single tough question in sight. During this cozy little chat with Robert Costa, Biden managed to twist the truth about his record, his age, and, of course, his favorite topic: Donald Trump.
Biden kicked things off by claiming that his race against Trump was “neck and neck” before he dropped out. Now, anyone paying attention back then knows that’s not exactly how it played out. Biden’s debate performance against Trump was, to put it kindly, a disaster. But don’t worry, folks, because Biden had an excuse ready—he was “sick.” Sure, Joe.
And let’s not forget Biden’s bizarre comments about his age. He joked—or maybe he was serious—that he’s so old he “can’t even say how old I am.” Uh, okay, Joe. That certainly inspires confidence.
However, the real kicker came when Biden claimed that his top priority as president was to stop Trump from getting back in office. Apparently, Biden’s so obsessed with Trump that he can’t even get the facts straight. He repeated the long-debunked lie that Trump called neo-Nazis “very fine people,” a claim even the left-leaning Snopes had to debunk. But that didn’t stop Biden from saying it again. And why not throw in a few more false claims for good measure? Like when he said Trump represented the Ku Klux Klan in the White House. Never mind that Trump has repeatedly condemned white supremacy—Biden’s narrative needs its villain.
And then there was Biden’s claim that he “created 16 million jobs, real new jobs.” Let’s set the record straight—most of those jobs were simply people returning to work after pandemic lockdowns. But hey, why let a little thing like the truth get in the way of a good story?
To top it all off, Biden took a swipe at “MAGA Republicans” for supposedly having no respect for political institutions—right before he called the Supreme Court “so out of whack” that it needs reform. Irony much?
Here’s another revelation—President Joe Biden admitted that he was pressured to drop out of his race because fellow Democrats were worried he’d become a liability. That’s right, according to Biden himself, other Democrats urged him to step aside, fearing that his continued presence in the race would hurt their own chances in the election. It’s a startling confession that raises questions about just how confident the party really was in his ability to lead. When the going got tough, it seems even his own team wasn’t sure Biden was up to the challenge, pushing him out to avoid becoming a political anchor around their necks.
