Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recently made unproven and dangerous claims about President Donald Trump on a political podcast.
Clinton suggested that Trump wants to “kill his opposition” and has a “bromance” with Russian President Vladimir Putin because of his supposed admiration for “strongmen” leaders.
According to Clinton, Trump’s supposed desire to “kill his opposition” is evident in his admiration for Putin, who she claims has imprisoned and exiled his opposition. She also claims that Trump sees other dictators like Chinese leader Xi Jinping and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as role models. She goes on to warn that if Trump is re-elected, he will follow in their footsteps and rule without any checks or balances.
“That’s what Trump really wants,” Clinton added. “And so we have to be very conscious of how he sees the world because, in that world, he only sees strongmen leaders. He sees Putin, he sees [Chinese leader Xi Jinping], he sees Kim Jong Un in North Korea. Those are the people he is modeling himself after, and we’ve been down this road in our world history. We sure don’t want to go down that again.”
These accusations are not only baseless, but they are also extremely irresponsible. Clinton is once again pushing the false “Russiagate” narrative, which has been repeatedly debunked. Her claims about Trump wanting to be like Putin are blatant fear-mongering and propaganda.
Clinton is still bitter about her loss to Trump in the 2016 presidential election. She is using her platform to attack him and spread dangerous conspiracy theories. It’s also worth noting that the podcast she made these comments on is run by Marc Elias, the lawyer who funneled money from her campaign and the Democratic National Committee to the infamous Steele Dossier.
It’s ironic that Clinton is accusing Trump of wanting to be like a dictator, considering her own history of shady dealings and corruption. Let’s not forget about her mishandling of classified information, the Benghazi scandal, and the numerous conflicts of interest involving the Clinton Foundation.
The American people are smart enough to see through Clinton’s lies and fear-mongering. Trump has made it clear that he stands for democracy and the American people.
As we head into the 2024 election, it’s important to fact-check and critically analyze everything that is being said by politicians and the media. It’s time to see through the lies and unite as Americans to support our country.
