Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer posted an edited image on Wednesday celebrating the Democrats’ sweep of Congress. The post shows him cooking burgers that have the faces of President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance overlaid on them.
The caption reads, “54 seats and counting. And I learned how to grill…these burgers and dogs are fully cooked”. This marks a return to the grilling theme Schumer used in a 2024 Father’s Day photo that drew heavy criticism for putting cheese on a raw patty.
54 seats and counting.

According to The Daily Caller, the new image uses AI to make the burgers look fully cooked this time. The photo features the faces of unsuccessful Republican challengers like Darline Graham and Ken Paxton on the food.
RedState noted that the post includes a meme picture of Vice President Vance looking fat and bald. Schumer posted this image after Democrats flipped seven Senate seats to take control of the upper chamber.
ouu we’re putting you on the grill next my love.

Other Democrats are already signaling a shift toward investigations now that they hold the majority. Senator Ron Wyden simply wrote, “Subpoenas” on social media. Representative Delia C. Ramirez told the President to “Clear your schedule”.
Representative Yassamin Ansari was more direct, stating, “Thank you, Mr. President. Our thank you will come in January — with subpoenas”. Before the vote, Republicans held a 53-seat majority while Democrats had 47 seats.
Now Democrats boast at least 54 seats come January, a drastic flip in power. The new majority includes wins in major races across Michigan, Texas, and Maine.
As Schumer says the new Dem majority prepared to take on Trump, I asked him about the new Dems in his ranks — like Adam Hamilton and Troy Jackson — who want him out as leader and say they won’t vote for him.
“The issue is not me. I’ll be reelected as majority leader. But the issue is focusing on the American people and what they want.”

Despite the victory, RedState reports that Schumer faces intense anger from the radical left within his own party. RedState reports that certain Democrats desire his removal from leadership and declare they will refuse to support him.
Schumer insisted he would be elected majority leader, saying, “The issue is not me. I’ll be reelected as majority leader. But the issue is focusing on the American people and what they want”.
Representative Jim Jordan warned back in August that Democrats would “go back to the weaponization” of government. He predicted they would try to “impeach the president a third time”.
