Harris Plans To Visit The Border

Sometimes, even CNN has to acknowledge when a Democrat is so blatantly disingenuous that even they can’t spin it.

Enter Kamala Harris, who is desperately trying to convince voters that she’s somehow tough on border security. Yep, you heard that right. The same Kamala Harris, who has spent years opposing border enforcement, is now running campaign ads and making speeches about her supposed commitment to securing the southern border. And now, she’s headed down there on Friday to—what, exactly? Pose for a few photos and pretend she cares?

Nick Arama from RedState was quick to remind everyone that this will only be Harris’ second visit to the border in the last three years. Her first trip was a brief stop in 2021, where she barely spent a few hours on the ground before heading off to the safety of California. During that visit, she was met by Hispanic Trump supporters who nicknamed her “Que Mala” — how bad. And let’s be honest, that pretty much sums up her entire border policy. Even CNN’s own correspondent, Eva McKend, couldn’t take it anymore and called out Harris’ pathetic attempt to rewrite history.

McKend reminded viewers that Harris has a long history of being an ally to illegal immigrants. She’s got entire chapters in her book dedicated to fighting for undocumented immigrants, and she’s on record as dismissing the border wall and fear-mongering about Trump’s efforts to secure the border. She even brought a “Dreamer” as her guest to a joint session of Congress. But now, all of a sudden, she’s the border security queen? Come on.

Trump wasted no time slamming Harris’ planned border visit on Truth Social, calling it what it is—an election stunt. After nearly four years of doing nothing about the border crisis, Harris suddenly thinks it’s time to show up and pretend to care? Trump laid it out plain and simple: Harris and Biden’s failed policies have allowed millions of unvetted people to pour into the country, causing criminal havoc across the U.S. And the timing of this visit? Right before an election, when Harris’ poll numbers on immigration are tanking.

“After almost four years, Border Czar Kamala Harris has decided, for political reasons, that it’s time for her to go to our broken Southern Border. What a disgrace that she waited so long, allowing millions of people to enter our Country from prisons, mental institutions, and criminal cells all over the World, not just South America, many of those coming are terrorists, and at a level never seen before!” Trump wrote. “She’s trying to con the public like she did a good job at the Border when, in fact, she has destroyed the very fabric of our Nation allowing 21 Million people in from places unknown….”

“….When Kamala is seen at the Border on Friday, she will pass Hundreds of Miles of Wall that was built by TRUMP, and it is Wall that WORKS!” Trump added. “When she speaks, be advised that this woman has allowed more than 21 million people into our Country, totally unvetted, and from places unknown. They are now creating criminal havoc all throughout the Country. Every State is a Border State! When she speaks, I hope everybody remembers that she has caused our cities, towns, and Country itself, tremendous damage, and only I can fix it!”

CNN’s Scott Jennings nailed it when he said this visit won’t change a thing. The American people know where Harris stands on immigration, and it’s not on their side. She’s spent years opposing real border security measures, and no last-minute trip to the border is going to erase that record. The fact that it’s taken her this long to even show up at the border speaks volumes about how seriously she takes the issue—or doesn’t.

The truth is that Harris can run all the campaign ads she wants, but the American people aren’t buying it. This is the same Kamala Harris who called the border wall a waste of resources and dismissed the border crisis as a manufactured issue during the Trump administration. Now, she wants to act tough? It’s too little, too late, and voters are going to see right through it come November.
