Donald Trump has done it again—beating Vice President Kamala Harris and reclaiming the White House in a race full of political drama. From Biden stepping aside to the two assassination attempts aimed at Trump, this election has been anything but ordinary. And, predictably, the left-wing media is absolutely losing it, with The View delivering the kind of live reactions that remind us why Trump’s support has only grown stronger. Watching Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin grapple with Trump’s victory on national TV might just be the most entertaining part of this entire election.
Joy Behar was the first to react, and for once, she almost seemed calm—well, as calm as Joy can get. She opened with, “I vehemently disagree with the decision that Americans made, but I feel very, very hopeful that we have a democratic system in this country. We should value it. We should love it. We should protest if the situation arises.” In other words, Joy didn’t waste any time hinting that “protesting” might be necessary now that Trump has returned. It’s the typical View response to Trump, as if half the country voting for him is somehow a mistake that needs “correcting.” But, hey, at least she acknowledged that Americans made a choice—one that she clearly can’t stand.

Then, there was Alyssa Farah Griffin, who, in an unexpected twist, tried to bring some perspective. She pointed out that “tens of millions of Americans, friends, neighbors, family members voted for Donald Trump…but they’re good decent people who are patriots and love this country.” Not exactly what the audience was hoping for, but she’s right. The left has spent years labeling Trump supporters as “Nazis” and “threats to democracy,” so Griffin’s attempt to humanize Trump voters was a breath of fresh air. Still, her comment seemed to fall flat in a room clearly unwilling to understand why so many Americans support Trump.

But leave it to Sunny Hostin to ramp up the outrage. In true Sunny fashion, she wasted no time declaring Trump’s win a disaster for healthcare, claiming he’ll put people in “internment camps,” and accusing America of sexism and racism for electing him. Apparently, to Sunny, this election wasn’t about issues like inflation or border security; it was all a “referendum on cultural resentment.” According to her, Trump’s win was simply proof of America’s deep-rooted bigotry.
Sunny declarers that “our healthcare system is at risk” and claims Trump is going to put people in “interment camps.”
“As a woman color,” Hostin says she’s “not surprised” by American’s sexism and racism.

And then she went even further off the rails, proclaiming, “Black women tried to save this country again last night” and lashing out at “uneducated white women” for supposedly costing Harris the election. You could almost feel the discomfort on the set, especially when Griffin actually stood up to Hostin, saying that this kind of divisive rhetoric is exactly what’s turning voters away from the Democrats. Finally, someone said it—alienating half the country with racial accusations is not a winning strategy. Hostin’s tirade was exactly the kind of out-of-touch elitism that has voters flocking to Trump. People are tired of being insulted and dismissed simply for wanting their voices heard.

The View panel’s reaction sums up everything that’s gone wrong with the left’s approach. Instead of reflecting on why Americans are frustrated enough to give Trump another chance, they fall back on the same tired labels: “racism,” “sexism,” and “cultural resentment.” Meanwhile, Trump’s voters chose him not because of “resentment” but because they’re worried about paying their bills, securing the border, and preserving the freedoms that made America great in the first place.
For many, this wasn’t just a vote for Trump—it was a vote against the divisive politics and condescension that have come to define today’s media and progressive elites. And if the The View’s reaction is any indication, they still don’t get it. So while they rage on, Trump supporters can celebrate knowing that, against all odds, their voices were heard.
