President Donald Trump appeared to debut a darker hair color on Friday. Arriving in New Jersey via Air Force One, he began a weekend journey. The photos show a noticeably more brunette look than his usual style.
This change sparked widespread speculation online almost immediately. The internet is asking if the President is changing his signature hair color. Fox News reported the photos showed him arriving at Morristown Municipal Airport. The New York Post noted this marked one of the few times he has messed with his trademark hairstyle.

Social media users reacted quickly to the images. A person posted on X that Trump turning brunette was unexpected on their 2026 bingo card. Another person asked, “Is he getting a new hair color?” A third comment noted, “Seems brown is the new blonde …”. Journo Yashar Ali posted, “The hair????He stated, “Had I not retrieved the Getty Images photos personally, I would not have trusted it. These posts show how fast the conversation moved after the landing.
This news comes just days after Trump pushed back on wig allegations. He spoke to reporters on Wednesday about the windy rally in Ohio. According to reports, he stated, “I don’t wear a wig.” However, that evening, they discovered I wore no wig, as one would not stay on long if worn. The White House could not immediately be reached by Fox News Digital for comment. No official reason was given for the darker shade on Friday.

During his tenure, Trump seldom altered his appearance significantly. A 2019 surprise visit to a Virginia church triggered similar rumors. That hairstyle was short-lived, and he returned to his usual look. Photos shared on Instagram by Michael Solakiewicz showed Trump golfing on Saturday.
He wore a red hat that covered most of his hair. This made it hard to determine if the darker style persisted. According to reports, the duration of the new look remains uncertain.
I love it. So youthful. Very Pierce Brosnan. https://t.co/UDukjWxSbp

Later that day, Trump addressed reporters sporting his standard hairstyle. This suggests the darker color might not be a permanent switch. The online speculation continues as people wait for more clear photos. The President is known for his light hair, so any change stands out. On Saturday, he played golf alongside Fox News anchor Bret Baier.
