Well, folks, here we go again. Another day, another episode of Democrats throwing a fit because someone dared to acknowledge biological reality. This time, the drama unfolded in a House Foreign Affairs subcommittee hearing—a meeting that was supposed to focus on things like arms control, international security, and, you know, actual governance. Instead, it turned into a performance art piece on pronoun enforcement, starring Congressman Bill Keating (D-MA) in the lead role of Offended on Behalf of Others.
It all started when Chairman Rep. Keith Self (R-TX) referred to Democrat Rep. Sarah McBride (D-DE) as “Mr. McBride.” Now, let’s pause for a second. McBride is the first openly transgender member of Congress, a biological male who identifies as female. But apparently, acknowledging basic biological facts is now grounds for an existential crisis in the Democratic Party.
McBride shot back with a snarky “Thank you, Madam Chair,” which, let’s be honest, was a weak attempt at a gotcha moment. But it was Keating who really stole the show. The Massachusetts Democrat took it upon himself to be the self-appointed defender of decorum, demanding Self repeat what he had said. And when Keating didn’t get the response he wanted, he turned up the dramatics to eleven.
“Mr. Chairman, you are out of order,” Keating huffed, acting as if Self had just committed a war crime instead of referring to a biological male with a male pronoun. Then came the pièce de résistance: “Mr. Chairman, have you no decency?”
Ah, there it is. The obligatory, pearl-clutching, grandstanding moment where a Democrat pretends to be the sole guardian of moral righteousness. Because what’s more indecent—getting worked up over a pronoun, or derailing an important hearing on national security?
Self, to his credit, didn’t take the bait. He tried to move on, but Keating wasn’t having it. He pounded his fist, stomped his foot, and demanded that McBride be addressed by the “correct” pronoun. You’d think we were watching a kindergarten classroom meltdown, not a congressional hearing on arms control.
Rather than waste any more time on the absurdity, Self did what any reasonable person would do: he shut the whole thing down. “This hearing is adjourned,” he declared, slamming the gavel.
And that was that. A critical discussion on America’s role in international security was abruptly ended—not because of policy disagreements or heated debate over nuclear nonproliferation, but because a Democrat was more concerned with virtue-signaling than doing his job.
But hey, why talk about trivial matters like arms control when we can police pronouns instead? Surely, the fate of our nation hinges on whether we all fall in line with the latest chapter of progressive wordplay.

“You will not continue it with me unless you introduce a duly elected representative the right way,” Keating shouted.

Of course, this isn’t the first time McBride has been at the center of controversy. Republican Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) made headlines when she introduced a resolution to keep biological men out of women’s restrooms in Capitol buildings—a move that sent the Left into one of their trademark meltdowns. Mace put it bluntly at the time: “The sanctity of protecting women and standing up against the Left’s systematic erasure of biological women starts here in the nation’s Capitol.”
Naturally, McBride had a statement ready, expressing deep disappointment that the hearing was cut short. “I was prepared to move forward with my questions for the Subcommittee on nuclear nonproliferation and US support for Democratic allies in Europe,” he lamented.
Really? Because it sure seems like the only thing that mattered was ensuring that everyone played along with the Democrats’ latest linguistic gymnastics routine.
This is what happens when a party prioritizes identity politics over governance. The American people deserve lawmakers who focus on securing the country, not throwing tantrums over whether someone says “Mr.” instead of “Ms.” But as long as the Left continues to put woke ideology over actual leadership, expect more hearings to end in chaos—and for Americans to be left wondering when their representatives will finally start taking their jobs seriously.
