Well, it looks like the Democrats are going to need to host another “representation summit” and hire a few more queer, plus-size, disabled Latina TikTokers if they want to lure young men back into the fold — because right now, according to Pew’s latest numbers, Gen Z guys are peacing out, and they’re doing it in droves.
The new polling paints a wild picture: Gen Z women? Deep-blue Democrats. Gen Z men? Heading rightward faster than you can say “MAGA meme.” And the gap? Gobsmacking. It’s a political Grand Canyon.

Now, why is this happening? Simple: the Democrats have spent the better part of a decade building a political brand that frames men as the problem — not a problem, the problem. It’s the party of “men are trash” discourse, gender-reeducation TikToks, and activist panels where straight men are treated like radioactive waste. As women have surged ahead in college, careers, and cultural clout, they’ve become more liberal and more hostile toward men — and men, especially young ones, have noticed.

So what’s happening? The boys are bailing. They’re heading toward Republicans not necessarily out of some deep policy alignment, but because the GOP isn’t actively telling them to shut up, sit down, and apologize for existing. It’s become a battle of the sexes, and the fallout is everywhere. Young men move right and — surprise — report being happier. Young women move left, vote blue in record numbers, and report record levels of depression. Dating? A disaster zone. Each side blames the other, and the culture war rages on.
