President Donald Trump told voters on Monday to look at France to see what is at stake in the November midterms. He spoke at a rally in Park City, Kansas, describing the French situation as a battle for Western civilization.
Trump said the upcoming election is a fight against those who want to burn the country down. “If you want to see what’s at stake in this election, just look at France,” Trump said at the event.
According to reports, France has been described as a formerly great nation being overrun, plundered, and destroyed by migrants, jihadists, and communists hostile to Christianity. He added that these groups hate Western civilization itself.
Violent riots broke out across France over the weekend, leading to at least 2,400 arrests. Damage or ransacking to 3,000 businesses across several cities is estimated by Authorities.
The president argued that radical Democrats want to see similar riots happen in America. “When you see burning steeples and raging fires in France, just remember, that is what the radical Democrats want to do to America,” Trump charged.
While Trump rallies supporters, House Republicans in Iowa are worried about losing their majority. Fox News reported that polls show Democrats gaining ground in a state Trump won by roughly 13 points in 2024.
Three of Iowa’s four congressional districts are now considered competitive. Ranked as a “toss-up” is the seat Joe Mitchell seeks to inherit from retiring Rep. Ashley Hinson.
House Majority Whip Tom Emmer dismissed these polling numbers as unreliable tools used to discourage voters. On Thursday evening in Des Moines, Emmer stated to people that “Republicans do not like to participate in surveys,”
He cautioned that the party would find it difficult to maintain its position if Republican voters fail to turn out. “If our people don’t show up … then we’re going to be scratching and clawing to hang on to every inch that we’ve got,” Emmer said.
Senator Bernie Moreno of Ohio issued a stark warning about the party’s future if it loses its base. He told Fox News Digital that the GOP’s steady base could head for the exits due to economic costs.
The entire agreement, according to reports, was described to Fox News Digital as “This is the whole deal” “It’s the whole deal.” Our party faces extinction if those working-class voters are not retained by us.
Moreno credited Trump with filling a void left by Democrats who abandoned working Americans. “Ironically, the Democrats abandoned working Americans, and there was a void — President Trump filled it,” he continued.
A Fox News poll found that nearly 60% of voters say the economy is their top concern. The data suggests that affordability issues are dominating headlines and voter worries as the election nears.
Trump continues his red-state tour to boost candidates like Sen. Roger Marshall and gubernatorial candidate Ty Masterson.
