WH Confirms Evaluation

Hello everyone! Let’s dive into some intriguing news straight from the White House.

Recently, Dr. Kevin C. O’Connor, the White House physician, confirmed in a letter that President Joe Biden has been evaluated by a Parkinson’s disease expert, Dr. Kevin Cannard, during each of his physical exams. This revelation follows a New York Post report about Cannard’s frequent visits to the White House over the past year.

Dr. O’Connor, who has close ties to the Biden family and was once a business associate of Biden’s brother, explained that Dr. Cannard has been holding regular neurology clinics at the White House Medical Clinic. These clinics support the many active-duty military personnel working at the White House, many of whom face neurological issues due to their service. According to O’Connor, Cannard’s visits are part of his general neurology practice.

In the letter, O’Connor confirmed that Cannard, who has donated significantly to Biden’s campaign, was the neurologist who evaluated Biden during his three physical exams as president. O’Connor also stated that Biden hasn’t seen any other neurologists outside his annual physical exams, though verifying this claim is challenging since there are no visitor logs for Camp David or Biden’s homes in Delaware, where he has spent a considerable amount of his term.

O’Connor included a detailed write-up of Biden’s neurological state from his most recent exam conducted by Cannard. The report was reassuring, indicating no findings consistent with cerebellar or other central neurological disorders such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, or ascending lateral sclerosis.

It did note, however, a finding of peripheral neuropathy in both feet, but no motor weakness or tremors were detected. Biden demonstrated excellent fine motor dexterity, though a subtle difference in heat/cold sensation was noted, which had slightly shifted higher on his ankle/calf compared to the previous year. This variation is not unexpected and can change from day to day.
