A liberal state judge in Illinois has ordered that former President Donald Trump be removed from the state’s presidential ballot in 2024.
Judge Tracie R. Porter, clearly driven by her hatred for Trump, argued that he should be removed from the ballot because he supposedly engaged in insurrection during the January 6 riots at the Capitol.
Never mind the fact that Trump has not been charged with insurrection in the ongoing Special Counsel case against him. But why let pesky details get in the way of the left’s Trump Derangement Syndrome?
The judge’s decision also contradicts the Illinois State Board of Elections, which just last month ruled that Trump should remain on the ballot. A group of voters and other liberal interests tried to pull this same stunt to remove Trump from the Colorado ballot, but the Supreme Court is currently considering the issue.
But let’s not forget that this whole hullabaloo is about Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which supposedly bans former officeholders who engaged in insurrection from ever holding public office again. Funny how the Democrats suddenly care about the Constitution when it suits their narrative.
This is just another desperate attempt by the left to erase Trump from the political arena. They can’t stand the fact that he is dominating the polls and will continue to do so, despite their best efforts to smear and discredit him.
Thankfully, Trump’s campaign has quickly fired back, calling the ruling unconstitutional and stating that they will be appealing it. In the meantime, Trump remains on the ballot in Illinois.

This ruling will likely be overturned. But it serves as a reminder of just how far the left is willing to go to silence their political opponents. Let’s hope that the Supreme Court sees through this blatant attack on our democracy and allows Trump to continue to run for office in 2024. Because, unlike the Democrats, we believe in free and fair elections.
