A polar vortex has struck the Midwest, bringing bone-chilling temperatures and leaving desperate Tesla owners stranded and hopeless. The frigid conditions have turned Tesla charging stations into ghost towns, with abandoned cars and empty stations as far as the eye can see.
Despite their claims of being eco-friendly and superior to traditional gas-powered vehicles, it seems that Tesla’s electric capabilities are no match for Mother Nature. Panicked owners were seen futilely trying to charge their beloved Teslas but to no avail.
“Nothing. No juice. Still on zero percent,” Tyler Beard, who had been trying to recharge his Tesla since Sunday afternoon said, “And this is like three hours being out here after being out here eight hours yesterday.”
It’s a sad day for these Tesla owners, who have been touted as the eco-warriors of the 21st century. But when it comes down to it, can their electric cars really withstand the harsh realities of weather? It seems not. These Tesla owners are learning the hard way that you can’t rely on fancy technology when old-fashioned gas-powered cars are still going strong.
The scene at the Oak Brook charging station was described as a “car graveyard,” and that’s putting it lightly. Tesla after Tesla was lined up, futilely hoping for a charge that would never come. The situation was so dire that some even had to abandon their cars and find alternative modes of transportation.
One frustrated man compared the situation to a “disaster,” and we couldn’t agree more. It’s a disaster for the environment, as these electric cars are now just wasting away, unable to function in the cold. It’s a disaster for Tesla’s reputation, as their once-revered vehicles are now nothing but dead robots scattered throughout the Midwest. And let’s not forget the financial disaster for these owners who shelled out big bucks for a car that can’t even handle a little cold weather.
But hey, who are we to judge? If Biden has his way, we’ll all be suffering like the poor folks in Chicago.

One stranded Tesla owner, Kevin Sumrak, had to hire a flatbed tow truck to transport his lifeless car to a functioning charging station. Talk about a waste of money. While these eco-warriors are freezing in the cold, traditional car owners are laughing all the way to the gas station. Who’s the superior vehicle now?
Mark Bilek, a representative from the Chicago Auto Trade Association, had the nerve to try and explain away this disaster, claiming that cold weather can impact electric vehicles’ ability to charge.
Get an electric vehicle they said.
Everything will be fine they said.

In the end, can we really say electric cars are superior to gas-powered ones? It seems not as they sit stranded and helpless on the side of the road. It’s a harsh reality check for these owners, but maybe it’s one they needed. Sometimes, traditional methods are still the best, and it seems like gas-powered cars have once again come out on top. Better luck next time, Tesla owners. Maybe invest in a heated garage before your next purchase.
